Having reeled in the No. 1 recruiting class in the NCAA last spring, Penny Hardaway famously acknowledged that along with top talent comes high expectations and hype. Or as Hardaway more succinctly put it: “We want all the smoke.”
So there was smoke at Memphis Madness on Oct. 3. There were shirts emblazoned with the new classic catchphrase for Memphis pride: “All the smoke.” There were rabid Tiger fans in Tiger blue. And there was music.
In the midst of it all was TSD contributor Terrisa Coreen Mark, filing the above video clip from the scene. Terrisa is a native of Trinidad (by way of Miami), but it didn’t take her long to discover how passionate Memphians are about their Tigers. Check out the clip above! Also, check out the great photos from our team convering Memphis Madness!
