Seeing as how Summer literally officially started less than a week ago on June 21, it seems strange to start talking about back-to-school immunization shots . . . but here we are.

From the Shelby County Health Department:

Children enrolling in child care facilities, those entering preschool, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten; those starting seventh grade; students transferring from schools outside of Tennessee; and students entering institutes of higher education, including the University of Memphis, all may require vaccinations. The Shelby County Health Departmentโ€™s Immunization Program can provide those vaccinations and assist with required documentation.

No appointment is required for immunization-only clinic visits either at the Immunization Clinic at 814 Jefferson or at the satellite Health Department clinics listed below. Please bring the childโ€™s complete vaccination records and up-to-date insurance information to the clinic.
