LeMoyne-Owen Men’s basketball team suffered a dent to their confidence on Saturday evening, losing a key SIAC Conference game to Miles College, 82-45.
Playing before more than 200 fans at Miles College in Fairfield, Ala., LOC struggled in the first half, which gave them too much catching up to do in the second half of the game.
Avery Brown made 22 points for the Golden Bears, including 4-4 from the line.
For LeMoyne Owen, Tyrone Banks led the Magicians with 14 points. As a team, the Magicians shot just 17 of 59 from the field, about 29 percent for the game.
LeMoyne-Owen will have another chance to get back in the win column when they take on local rival Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Tip-off is at 7:30 PM.
