On Tuesday, the NYPD took to Twitter to ask anyone who has information onย Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaamโ€™s apparent suicide to come forward. The history-making judge was found in the Hudson River on Wednesday.

โ€œThe NYPD is seeking info on the death of Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaam,โ€ the account for Harlemโ€™s 26th Precinct wrote on Twitter. โ€œAnyone with info is asked to call our detectives.โ€

Police sources added that it was likely Abdus-Salaam had committed suicide and that she was struggling with depression. There were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play, though a medical examiner will determine the cause of death officially, and the investigation is still ongoing.

โ€œThe 26 precinct is requesting anyone with information about her death or who has had contact with her during the past several days to contact the 26 Precinct Detective Squad,โ€ police tweeted in their request for information.
