‘Season of Remembrance’ commemoration of homicide victims set for Monday, Dec. 2

Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich invites families and friends of Shelby County homicide victims to join her in honoring the memory of their loved ones.

“Season of Remembrance” will be held on Monday (December 2nd) in the City of Memphis Council Chambers at 125 North Main. The reception and check-in will begin at 5 p.m., and the ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m.

Families and friends of homicide victims are asked to bring an ornament in honor of their loved ones, regardless of the year in which their lives were taken. The ornaments will be hung on wreaths that will be displayed in the Hall of Mayors throughout the holiday season.

There will also be a tree to display ornaments representing each homicide victim for the current year.
