The Bachelorette Says She’s Found Her Dream Man

Paul Hebert/ABC

Although The Bachelorette is just getting started on television, Rachel Lindsay, the show’s first black Bachelorette, says she’s found her dream man, thanks to the show.

“I absolutely fell in love! I definitely did, I’m very, very happy,” Lindsay, 32, said in an interview with People. “I can’t wait for you to see how it plays out, ’cause I’m definitely engaged! I want to scream it, every time I say it. I’m like trying to be composed.”

“I really do think I found my forever love,” she continued. “No, I don’t think, I know. He knows too.”

Well, it’s interesting that she’s already letting the cat out of the bag, but TMZ did catch Lindsay wearing a simple gold band on her ring finger earlier this week.

The Dallas native said she didn’t think she’d find “the one” on the show.

“I really didn’t think that it was going to happen this way for me, but it did because I opened myself up, and I allowed myself to just fall, and someone caught me,” she said.

As Maiysha Kai also notes, it’ll be interesting to see which bachelor she picks, since the show has boasted about the men being the most diverse. And Lindsay knows that all eyes are on her because a) she’s black b) she’s black and c) everyone wants to know if she will pick a white man.

“They’re on me because I’m something new and different that they haven’t seen in this franchise before. With that, everyone’s going to have an opinion,” she said.
