Tiffany Haddish is rocking the entertainment industry right now.

Haddish and her She Ready production company just signed a first-look deal with HBO for the next two years after a huge year for the comedian. This is according to an exclusive with Variety.

Haddish has had a great year. Her book, The Last Black Unicorn made the New York Times’ bestseller list, and she won a New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC) best supporting actress award for Girls’ Trip. During the NYFCC awards, she gave an epic 17-minute acceptance speech that was pure Tiffany Haddish.

“I think this whole business is about how you feel, what you put out to the world and how you make other people feel. When you feel good about what you’re doing, in my mind, it makes other people feel good,” she said. “I hope everybody in here is super happy and super rich, and if you’re not happy, change your thought patterns and start having happy thoughts, because it’s your fault you’re not happy. Nobody’s in control of your emotions but you.”

She also has a new stand-up special on Showtime called Tiffany Haddish: She Ready!

Good things still to come

And it looks like she’s ready to continue that momentum. She has several projects already in the works, including a comedy tour in 2018.

She’s set to star with Tracy Morgan on The Last OG, which premieres on TBS in April. In September, she will share scenes with Kevin Hart in the film Night School.

Haddish is also set to star in upcoming projects like New Line’s The Kitchen and Universal’s The Temp. And she’s cutting her teeth on being an executive producer on The Temp as well as Limited Partners, a project in production with Paramount in which she will also star. Oh, and she also just wrapped up production on The Oath.

Basically, it’s good to be Tiffany Haddish right now.
