NOTE: PRESIDENTIAL FORUM STARTS AT 2:17:00 IN THE ABOVE CLIP.
Technically, the next official Democratic debate isn’t until next week, stretched over two nights on CNN. And even then, it’s unlikely that the field of 20 will spend a great deal of time speaking directly to the needs of African Americans.
But 11 of the contenders participated in a candidate forum at the NAACP’s 110th Annual Convention today, including frontrunners Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders. Veteran White House correspondent April Ryan moderated the discussion.
Here’s a list of candidates who participated:
- Joe Biden, Former Vice President of the United States
- Cory Booker, Senator, New Jersey
- Pete Buttigieg, Mayor of South Bend
- Julián Castro, Former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
- Kamala Harris, United States Senator
- Amy Klobuchar, United States Senator
- Beto O’Rourke, Former Member of the United States House of Representatives
- Bernie Sanders, United States Senator
- Elizabeth Warren, United States Senator
